Chicago is not a very RV friendly city. We ended up staying at the Hollywood Casino at Joliet some 50 miles from the centre.
|
We are not betting people but they did have a superb restaurant where we
started with cocktails. Mine was a Pink Panther. |
I followed this with a
goats cheese and heritage tomato starter.
|
The meals all looked attractive and tasted delicious. This was halibut. |
Another main dish was
these lamb chops. The meals were well proportioned and not as huge as we
have had in some American restaurants.
|
Although there was music it was a very pleasant ambiance. We had a
Californian albarino to complement the meal. |
There were photos of film
stars on the wall. | |
|
There were also dresses from particular movies. This was worn by Fay Wray in
the movie King Kong. |
The campsite had many
large rigs. Here we have a diesel pusher being passed by a huge fifth
wheeler with virtually the same livery.
|
Further up the site was this tag axle Prevost complete with a 'toy box'. |
