This is also part of the Peabody museum collection. This whole complex would take days to see properly. This page covers several exhibitions including 'Encounters with the Americas', Maya casts, Artisanship in Berber art, and Moche of Ancient Peru.
This is a shadow puppet, Kresna, from Java. Kresna is an incarnation of the Hindu god Vishnu. Typical shadow puppet shows could last as long as nine hours.
This is a model of a Philippine sailing boat with outriggers to provide stability. It dates from about 1904.
Each of the seated figures from the hieroglyphic stairway in structure 26 in Copan, Honduras, originally held a spear and shield. This identified them as warriors.
This is a camel saddle (tarik) from Saharan Algeria. It was most commonly used by warriors of the Kel Ahaggar tribe in southern Algeria. This used to belong to the chief of the Tuareg confederation during WWI.
The painting depicts three walls in Bonampak and shows the display of a young infant king to the nobles.
This is a cast of  Stela 1 at Copan in Honduras. It is thought this one dates from AD 159. It was later covered over and then rediscovered during a remodelling thought to have taken place around AD 676.

The lintels shown here are casts of Mayan sculptures dating from 709 AD.

Another casting from the same period. Reminders of civilisations possibly older than ours, about which we know very little today.
These examples of Moche art from ancient Peru are thought to be funerary urns. They are on loan from Dunbarton Oaks in Washington (also been there).
